I am just wondering if you would mind giving a little input about your situations. Just to give those that are looking at the process or still in the process of waiting some ideas of the likely hood of being placed is really like
What state are you in?
Is your situation PC or LA?
How old were you at the time of placement?

In Vic, from education groups to placement - just on nine months. The only thing different from a natural birth was the absence of the huge OB bill, anti-natal classes and three hour feeds. We were 32 and 38 at the time.
Depends on which one you are looking at. PC and LA placements all depend on right time, right place stuff, but PC, if you are prepared to accept a sibling group of older child it is pretty fast, particularly with all the media attention at the moment. I know of a lot of placements in our area over the past few months and these are placements that should have happened months and months ago.
At our education groups for PC the SW talked about a family group that was waiting to be placed - ages five, three and one - and if they could get a couple/family that they thought would be suitable there assessment would be done immediately as they had been in foster care for awhile.
I would have snapped them up in a heartbeat except we already have DD and she has to be two years older than the next one. Oh yes, that and DH nearly had a coronary when I suggested from one to four kids overnight!
If you have anything specific PM me.

Oh Googly I'm not looking at doing any more stuff personally. I'm pretty sure we will be living childfree.
Just I come across a lot of people out there that ask me for information and I don't want to give them false hopes of being placed. It really does seem that the preference is for those couples in their 30's with LA.
