Thanks for that, the stats are so interesting! I have just spent the last hour reading the whole report.

This is a great resource.
Having been part of the ICA world for so long I would say the large percentage of this would be those allocated ICA child rather than LA.
I would like to see the govt make public a similar thing to show how many people doing LA are waiting to be placed and a break down of ages of the applicants.
does anyone know if such a thing exists or who I would write to at Australian Institute of Health and Welfare.
As while the information is great it doesn't really give you an idea of the amount of other people also in the process and thus how effective your chance is of being placed. Look I know it's about the perfect match but the simple thing is the smaller the pool they more likely someone is to be placed with a child because SW have to make some sort of decision. IYKWIM!
I mean how many families/couples are waiting for a placement of a child - and how old are they.

This info is "hear say" and a year old. We asked our social worker that question when we were assessed and were told in Victoria there were about 25 couples on the LA list and about 60 on the PC list, I would assume that there are probably more now. I don't know anything about the age range though and also not in PC how many people have certain age or other restrictions.

Hi, I was told that there were around 40 parents in the Victorian sector at the moment. Good luck to all of us. F
