Sorry to be dumb, but what's the easiest way to access PMs? I can't find the right button!!! I have to rely on that 'message' thing to come up on the RHS. I know I'm missing something obvious. Ta! S

Good question, I think this is a glitch in the system. The only way I know is when you log on or refresh your page the message appears: You have x messages, x new. Then you click on that message before it disappears and go into the message menu. The other option is when you do not reply to a message, but want to pm somebody, you click on their user name and then there is an option to pm. Hope this helps, I know it is not optimal. Kim, if you read this, do you have a possibility to fix this glitch and introduce a pm button? ? Flossyinoz

Phew, I thought this was the case! It takes me about 5 attempts to click on the message thing as it disappears too quickly! lol...

Tip!
When you do get onto your PM page, save it in bookmarks. That way you can go straight to it each time.

Now I may be daft, but in my view the "bookmark" option does not appear in private messages.
But I found something called "preferences" and there yu can tick if you want a pop up window or an email when you get a pm, that may come in handy.

Nah, I meant bookmark on your web browser (right up top of page) - it might be called something else on internet explorer - not sure as I use Firefox. It's the one you use to keep a record of the page, so next time you go straight to it.

Kim just gave me an idea how to get the pm pption on the screen. I don't know how your start screen looks. But as work bars some pictures and websites I can not see any pictures or avatars in this forum, they appear as an x in a square. So my header bar starts with home and ends with chat. But there is an x in a square next to it, so I guess in normal view this is a picture. I double clicked on it and now I have a grey row on the top of my screen relating to messages. Hope this helps you to find pms easier. Flossyinoz

You're right flossy, it is there, but also at the top of the screen there's inbox / new message. It wasn't there before - I'm sure!!! Sal

LOL... its just not noticable unless you really look hard.
The PM thing isnt a clitch as people have suggested, its just this lay out isnt as good as some of the other layouts I have but most of those ones are really dark coloured like blacks and greys or dark reds.
Those colours didnt seem right and with the coded layouts I use you cant actually change the colours, so have to change the whole forum design.
