I am just wondering for those of you that undertake local adoption or PC do you have anyway of getting information about social workers before they visit you?
With ICA we tend to post on closed forums and your likely to have someone respond that has had your social worker in the past.
How do you get the 'inside edge' ? Can you get the 'inside edge'?

Good question. I
have 'someone' who has been in touch with me from the same agency (and has been successful) and tells me what she knows about those she's been in contact with - but of course that's only a couple out of the entire team. So it might not help in the end... although any pointers are good!

As in our agency they had quite a bit of fluctuation we did not know the social workers interviewing us now at all, one has jsut started but she seems very esxperienced, the other has been with the agency for I think 3 years.
Originally we wanted to go with the social worker we had for our training sessions, because we really got along well, but she has changed jobs last year.
We only got the names basically when they started arranging our first interview date.
