How many people like the new colour and set up of the forum? I'm kind of thinking its a little too purple, but as I was setting up the Adoption Club website www.adoptionclub.org and making a forum to match it adoptionclub.proboards107.comIt kind of got me in the mood for re-designing the set up of this forum which is why I am trying out this purple design. So please let me know if you like it or not, be honest ;D I mean I like purple to the point where a few years ago I had two big purple sections of hair on either side of my face but even for me this seems a little too much purple. ;D

Yesterday when I first went into the new colour version I had a bit of problems reading the dark purple on the lighter purple background. I like the purple definitely, but would want a bit more contrast. Today though (being that I did not have a red wine for lunch time which may have influenced my eye sight or just getting used to it) I find it easier, but a little more contrast could not hurt I find, especially the buttons in italics are very hard to read, maybe my eyesight is going (old age!!! ). We could have white writing at least on the buttons for example or just make the background lighter. Cheers Flossyinoz

Ok, I guess I should have mentioned that this lay out was made by someone else and therefore the graphics can not be altered such as the buttons, as the terms of use are that it not be altered. Apart from the banner at the top of the forum which you can put your forum name in. I can change writing colour in posts and the colours of the things like members names and the topic they posted in and on the sections where it says things like - Greetings - General Adoption Chat - Adoption Questions and Information and so on. But am not able to change any graphics such as the Quote or Modify buttons. I'm happy to try a different lay out design if people would like me to. I do have a different lay out design which was done for the Adoption Club forum and Board. Check them out at adoptionclub.proboards107.com and www.adoptionclub.orgIf people like that design we could use it for this forum as well. The Adoption Club support Forum is still in the process of having information added to it, but if anyone wants to join that forum please feel free to do so. Other designs to look at include... mistydreams.proboards7.combookworld.proboards12.comheathandorli.proboards7.comgossamer.proboards11.comadoptionclub.proboards107.com So if everyone wants to have a look at those 5 forums and then post here as to which one they liked the most, then which ever one is the most popular we can go with that one. Kindest Regards, Kim

I guess my choice won't be everybody's choice, but the easiest to read is the grey gossamer. All the others I find too dark. But I am not sure if grey is really the colour we want to show for our forum. Okay, we can't change the buttons in the current purple design, but maybe the default font colour for posts?? White - apparently not an option in this colour scheme BlackYellowpinkTealMMMh - just looking at these colours, I actually think the pink or the yellow should be easier to read. What do you think? Cheers Flossyinoz

I dont know if its because I'm short sighted or not but I find both the yellow and pink hard to read So I've changed the colour of the posts words to black. Tell me how that looks to you all and if its still a bit of an issue I'll see if I can get a different lay out to the ones in the links above.

You will have to check it out now that I finished putting in all the new icons, smilieys and other buttons. I think this design is much easier to understand and to look at, than the purple one was.
