HI All, I am just wondering if there is anyone out there that can shed some light on the medical requirements for LA/PC in Vic. DH and I are both healthy (day-to-day) but are overweight. I know this can be an issue for ICAS but am wondering if this is the same for local options. I should be getting a call back from Centacare on Monday but am feeling very impatient now that I have made the decision. Thanks everyone Louise

Hi Louise
We found that the weight is not a major issue, what they want is that both are healthy and no long turn issues.

Thanks Doris. DH has in the past had high blood pressure which has been controlled through diet and exercise and we both have type 2 diabities (again controlled through diet and exercise) so hopefully there will be no issues there Thanks again Louise

LOuise, My DH and I are overweight, me more than him, but we have recently been approved, so I think the others are right, it doesn't really play too much of a role. .THey don't want to allocate a baby to someone who in 3 years time will not be able to adequately care for it, but it seems your issues are treatable and manageable with medication, so I would not worry too much about this. Waiting.

I am the sort of person who would worry about things before they happen, but I am also the person to tell others not to worry until there is reason to worry. Weird I am.....

Hi Louise
i didn't think it was going to be an issue. I bet it's a weight lifted off your shoulders.
