Hi I was emailed the link to this site and am so happy to find you all! My husband and I have had two children, but sadly our first lil' girl was stillborn at 25.5 weeks in 2005 and our 2nd was born premmie at 26.5 weeks in 2006, and we had 16 precious days with her before sadly she had to join her big sister in heaven. We currently have our application in for foster care and submitted our EOI for local adoption about 2 mths ago. *sigh* we just have so much love to give a child and desperately want to be a family! I am looking forward to getting to know you all and becoming an active part of what looks like a great support group. Mally.

Hi Mally, Welcome to the forum, its great to see new members. I'm sorry to hear about your beautiful little angels. I have my own angel who I lost in 1992 although I lost her when I was around 12 weeks pregnant, its still very hard to deal with the loss of any child I think. Most of us here are still going through the process of Adoption or Permanent Care, which is great because we can all understand the excitement and frustration of the process ;D Anyway I'm so glad to see you here and please feel free to start topics or just jump right into ones already going. Kindest Regards, Kim

Hello Mally,
Yes most of us have had a long way to the decision to adopt or permanent care for a child. you can see from my signature that I know how you feel as well, though I must admit I have been "lucky enough" that my miscarriages were relatively early and I did not have the agony of actually bonding with a child and then loosing it. That must really be hard.
You have come to the right spot and though we are still few, but growing, this forum is only a couple of months old. As Kim said most of us are currently in the process of either handing applications in or waiting from social workers to be allocated, so you fit right in and we hope we can all help each other on our way to a happy family.
Welcome and cheers

HI Mally!!!!!!!! Jeanne EOI is Expression Of Interest.........its one of the first parts of adoption that our girls in QLD do for the process. QLD is really a tough process in comparison to vic. You often hear about people wanting it all to be at a federal level but personally I love the fact that its governed state by state because it enables people to have more options. For example in QLD local adoption one of the couple MUST be infertile and they are even tougher up there on stuff like weigh incomparsion to victoria. China

Hi Jeannene and China China thanks for explaining EOI for Jeannene. I am so glad to "meet" you all!!!! I'm gonna post a few q's in the local adoption thread if anyone can pop in and see if you can help. I'm off to pick up my flu vacc and then wait for the dr's to ring and tell they have found an app to put in . I hate needles! Mally
